NICE Guidance out this week highlights whate Stroke Physicians and Cardiologists have been suspecting for some time- that many people who have atrial fibrillation are being prescribed an aspirin instead of anticoagulants to prevent stroke when in fact Aspirin treatment is neither effective nor particular safe from side effects.
